Membership in the Ordem dos Arquitectos

Application through Candidates - National or foreign - Professional Internship

To enroll in the Ordem dos Arquitectos, candidates must have qualifications in the field of architecture, recognized under Portuguese law.

Documents to be submitted:

- Passport-style photograph (jpeg/jpg)

- Citizen Card or equivalent document

- Enabling training certificate

- Equivalence of academic titles under the terms of the legislation in force (if applicable)

- Document of authorization to remain in Portugal (if applicable)

- Authorization to exercise the Profession in Portugal (if applicable)

- Declaration of the Host Entity

- Advisor's Statement

- Internship plan

- Professional internship certificate (if applicable)

Application for Professionals from other States

Professionals legally established in other states, with qualifying training.

Documents to be submitted:

- Passport-style photograph (jpeg/jpg);

- Copy of identification document;

- Academic qualification in the field of architecture obtained in the country of origin;

- Recognition of the qualifying training by a Portuguese higher education institution, in accordance with the law, as provided for in Article 2 of the Registration and Internship Regulation, in cases not covered by automatic recognition;

- Proof of residence in Portugal;

- Proof of registration/enrolment as an architect issued by the competent authority of the country of origin (where applicable);

- Proof that the profession has been practised for at least 2 years during the previous 10 years (where applicable).

Documents to be submitted:

- Declaration before the service provider’s movement;

- Copy of identification document or proof of nationality;

- Academic qualification subject to automatic recognition;

- Recognition of the qualifying training by a Portuguese higher education institution, in accordance with the law, as provided for in Article 2 of the Registration and Internship Regulation, in cases not covered by automatic recognition;

- Proof of registration/enrolment as an architect issued by the competent authority of the country of origin (where applicable);

- Proof that the profession has been practised for at least 2 years during the previous 10 years (where applicable).
